Italian top clubs eye Candreva

Antonio Candreva's good form has not gone unnoticed by the Italian top clubs. The Livorno midfielder made his Italy debut on Saturday against the Netherlands (0-0). According to several Italian media Inter Milan and Juventus are interested in the playmaker.

His call up for national duty was a reward for his outstanding perfomances at Livorno. Candreva is also partly property of Udinese.

Competition for the versatile midfielder is hotting up after the 22-year-old refused to renew his contract with parent club Udinese.

Inter are said to be lining up Candreva as part of their bid to rejuvenate an ageing squad. It’s likely he would deputise for Wesley Sneijder or even fit in as an alternative playmaker in front of the defence.

Juventus are looking for more creativity in midfield, as Felipe Melo and Momo Sissoko are too similar and don’t actually complement each other.
